Hello. My name is Jana! I am 45 years old. I live in a small town. I have 2 children. I like history, literature and gardening. I walk in the mountains in summer. I want to improve my English.
Hello, nice to meet you.
Do you like Czech mountains or do you prefer foreign ones?
Hello everybody,
I also continue from the previous course, but in the meantime I also did the course Toskánsko And it was soo nice. I very enjoyed it. But now I am back and I am greeting from Bibione. My name is Monika. I am 33 years old. Now I am on matternity leave. I have two small children. I like travelling with our caravan to explore new places. I like doing sports: cycling, in-line skating, going on ski, running…
I am looking forward new lessons, because with Jazyko.cz I am not too nervous, when I speak English in foreign country. Thank you for that!
Greetings to all from the Mediterranean Sea, where my family and I live in the summer. I have been learning English for two years, unfortunately not intensively. I discovered your group on Instagram. So here I am. My name is Eva. I am 47-years-old happily married working woman and mother with an interest in travel, books of all kinds and interior design. I would like to improve my English, especially my speaking. I’m just afraid to speak, when I speak I realize my mistakes and then I feel embarrassed. I still hope to improve.
Nice to meet you all.
Hello Eva and welcome in the course. I will do my best to help you get rid of the embarrassing feeling from making mistakes. The whole course actually encourages you to make mistakes and to dare to use English even with imperfections. Main thing is to enjoy the process of studying 😀

Hello everybody, my name’s Jana and am 61 years old. I was born in Mariánské Lázně, but I growed up and the major part of my life I lived in Olomouc and later in Prague. Now we are living with my husband, our 3 cats and 1 dog also as many of you in the small village between Český Krumlov and Kaplice, Omlenička. Together we have 5 daughters and 2 granddaughters and this months we are looking forward to third grandchild. Maybe first boy in our patchwork family… I am retired, but still hardly-working women :-D. I am self-employment, on Fridays I run a small pub and in other days I work part time as career at old people’s home. My youngest daughter lives in London, she is 24 years old, maybe she will stay at GB and I will help her with her children and spend my time with her new family . Until then I must speak English very well!
Hi, Jana, thanks for this lovely self-intro. Watch out for the following:
I grew up
Now we live = teď žijeme (permanentně) X Now we are living = teď žijeme na přechodnou dobu
I am a hard-working woman: hard-working = pilně pracující X hardly-working = sotva kdy pracující 🙂
1 woman x 2 and ore women
I am self-employed
carer/caretaker = pečovatel X career = kariéra
By then, I must learn to speak English very well
Hi Soňa, thank you so much for your feedback, I like the way you move us to be better.
Hello Jana, your writting is perfect, also – you are perfect! Dana
How kind of you to say so! Thank you so much!
Hello everyone,
my name is Stáňa Bártová. I am 61 and I’m retiring this year in the Summer. So I will have more time to studying english language and I look forward to learning after a short break.
I plan to visit my daughter with her family in London for longer time, because my daughter has to go to work and me and my husband will look after our two beautiful, but a little wild granddaughter.
Girls understand and speak a little Czech and I understand and speak a little English, so we will learn and teach each other. I love girls and I look forward to be with them longer time and I think it is a great opportunity to improve my language skills.
Hello, my name is Petra. I am 45 years old and I live in a small village near Cesky Krumlov. I work as a credit analyst in the bank. I’m married and I have 2 sons, both teenagers. I like reading, hiking and travelling. I want to improve my English knowledge for travelling and for my job- sometimes I have to write/prepared some credit proposal in English. I do yoga (but only once a week) and short exercises nearly each morning. The evening is time for my learning English, this course is the second from Jazyko. I look forward to the next topics.

I was born in Ostrava. Now I liv in Prague. I am nineteen. I play to the flute, clarinet and alittle bit to saxophone and the best instrument for me now is xaphoon, what is a little saxophone, witch sounds somethink between clarinet and saxophone. I like dancing. And I like hystory, mainly of 20. century.
Welcome to the course, Nela. It is very nice to meet you. I think your hobbies are really interesting!! Did you learn to play all those instruments by yourself? And are you a history student or do you do something else for a living?
I study at grammar school yet. I am at the third year. In April I| will go to the hystory competition, the topic of the compeetition is a second world war. in Europe, not in Czechoslovakia. I like listening the story of twenty century in radio.
I learned flute, clarinet and saxophone with the teacher and xaphoon by myself.
And I am blind.
Oh, that is quite amazing? Nela. I wish you good luck with the competition. And enjoy the course 🙂

Hello! My name is Lenka Tondlová and I’m 46 years old. I live in Zlatá Koruna – it’s a small village near Český Krumlov. I have a family, my husband’s name is Aleš. We have two children, a boy and a girl. Adam is 14 years old and Klára is 13 years old, they are teenagers. My family lives in a medieval monastery, where I work too. I work as a director of a monastery. My work is very interesting, but difficult. I have to take care of all the activities connected with the monastery. I started to work here as a guide in 2004, then I was on maternity leave and in 2011 I came back to the monastery as a director. I like to talk, so I like to work as a guide, but in my current profession it’s difficult. I don’t have a lot of free time in the summer, because I have a lot of work with visitors and with the culture program in the monastery. In the winter I have more free time and I can spend it with my family or I can do my favourite hobbies. I love books. I read a lot. I like all literary genres. Our family likes skiing in the winter and cycling in the summer. I started to learn English two years ago and I like it.

Mainly I focus on breathing exercises, except wim’s technique and yoga’s pranayama I do Buteyko’s breathing exercises. The last one helps me healing my asthma.
Spending time with my family mainly in the kitchen is my pleasure. I like prepare healthy meals and I like trying new recipes.
Hello Ivana, it’s wonderful to see you here. I hope you enjoy the course and thank you for teaching me about the Buteyko breathing exercises, it’s been really helpful!
