Thank you for your advices, I will try to follow them.
Thank you! Great tips! Can you recomend some audiobook?
Btw, I understand your podcast well ☺️☺️☺️
Hi Vladka, that’s great! In my course Listen & Learn I use Pinocchio because the chapters have only 5 minutes, which is nice and short. But it really depends what you enjoy and choose the story accordingly.
Thank you for the tips, it is very usefull. Especally no. 2, for me it is a new way how to learn foreign language. I will try it.
Such great tips! Thank you for them! I have to say i knew about it but never try it the way you described in podcast. However i remember that at high school at french classes it helped me a lot to read french newspaper. I bought some in a little shop near my school and i tried to read some articles that comes to me interesting. And imagine me going through the mají square of our city with Le Monde! Ofcourse the newspaper was set the way that everyone could se the title. I felt so important and confident. Now i have three kids (as i wrote already i think), so my time with english is also my free time and i am really looking forward for it. Maybe it is the tip number 4. To have many kids :-))) So, i get some audiobook. Is it better to start with some tale? Thank you!
The tip Nr. 2 is great. I am not so far from using tips Nr.1 and 3 but I haven’t heard about usage of audiobooks for learnig foreign laguages. I’ll try it.
Thank you Sona.

Hi there:)
Thank you for your podcast and tips on how to learn foreign language. I will focus on listening, I will choose some audiobook. I´ve been studying English in school since I was 8 years old, but in daily life I have never used it for speaking. So I still start learning it again and again and again. I belive that your course is the new way how to be better in English. I really enjoy it. It ´s time for me. 🙂
Have a nice time, bye
Hi Sona, thanks for these podcasts and tips. I was really useful for me. I try to learn English every day. I am exactly the kind of student who learns 2 times a week and then has a month off.
Hello Soňa,
thank you for the podcast. I am on maternity leave and I know, how it is dificult to answer children´s question every day:) But it is the truth that it is the best way, how to learn something. When I was at school, we read and translated a lot of titles and so on, but we had the listening a little. And I have never learned English very well. But now I want to change it:)
Thank you, Monika
Hi Soňa, thanks for this podcast and your tips how to learn foreign languagues. I appreciate it and to do small steps every day is perfect. I miss an audiobook for myself so I will have to change it.
Hi, Kamila, thanks for the feedback. If you are looking for an audiobook to listen, you might like my Listen&Learn challenge, where you listen and read and work with vocabulary and grammar from the audiobook Pinocchio, which is by the way a fantastic story.
Hi Sona, thanks for your answer. Where can I find your Listen&Learn challenge?
Have a nice day Kamila
Thank you, Lenka, for these kinds words and lovely feedback. I really appreciate it.
I am glad that I decided to try new way of learning English. I have been learning English for ages in various courses, once a week, did my homework in a hurry right before the lesson. I didn’t see any progress. This way is more fun and interesting. Thank you Soňa for your advices.
Hi everybody! I would like to share my thoughts :)!
Before I stared this course and conversation class, I learned English by films and serials on Netflix, I watched them with English audio and English titles and I was surprised because I understand it :D. But 1 year ago I was at English school at our town and the school makes me feeling like I never can speak English and I never can understand. That’s all because I have one lesson/week the lesson was 1,5 hour and I it’s was really terrible! We just sit, and write some notes, then we listened to teacher and then we continued with writing, and that’s all what we did in 1,5 hour long lesson. And when the lesson ended I didn’t know anything because I was tired. (Btw: I was 11 only)
U R wonderful, Johy, thanks for sharing this with us. It is so important to change the way we do things if the old way isn’t getting us nowhere. You might be young but ain’t u smart 🙂 🙂 heart, heart
Thank you Soňa, your course is amazing!
Thank you, Johy.
Thanks for your advices.
I agree with small goals and daily learning, but flashcards doesn´t help me very much. I need to write new words and idioms. And also I need to heart my voice, repeat loudly words and sentences.
Exactly, Helena, I always say things out loud when I am learning a language and I even speak to myself loud. By the way, there is a new recording in this lesson (How to Learn a Foreign Language) which is actually my own podcast so may want to go back and listen to it again.
Yes, I´ve already heard this advice about learning English and I follow it. It works for me. I learn something every day. I use flash cards in application Anki and I write down there everything I don´t know and what I think that it could be useful to know. Every day I learn these cards. it takes some time but I enjoy it and I can see I get better and better in English. I also read English book every day before I go to bed. I´m reading book by Agatha Christie now. It´s my favorite writer. English is beautiful and I really like it.
You are an amazing learner, Šárka! I also recommend my students reading books and write their own vocabulary. And I loooove Agatha Christie, she was a genius. By the way, there is a new recording in this lesson (How to Learn a Foreign Language) which is actually my own podcast so may want to go back and listen to it again and give me feedback to that.
Yes, I think that it is true. I have to learn english every day. It is very helpful for me.
These advices are really helpful for me but I can already do almost everything – thanks to you.
Your advices are really useful for me. I was surprised that I understood the text. I remember, that at grammar school this part of studying was something like horror for me…. 🙂
I hope you don’t ever have to feel like studying English is a horror again.
It’s great how much easier it can be with the right mindset and a little bit of help!
I am happy to study English this way. It is very comfortable. No more hours and hours of hard work once in a while. I like small steps every day.
I am surprised, because I am able to study almost every day and I find it funny and useful. Thanks for this on-line model! And I understood the text 🙂
That’s great news Petra!
Yes, this advice was useful to me. I am glad that I manage to learn English every day.
